about me

My name is Molly, and I am an artist and educator from Western Springs, Illinois.
-----
Artistically, I work mostly in colored pencil and pen. My colored pencil pieces center around nostalgia and memory, combining vivid colors and interesting objects to foster a familiar, warm reaction from the viewer. As for my work in pen, I work mostly in a cross-hatch style. I specialize in drawing architecture.
-----
In May 2019, I graduated with all honors from Concordia University Chicago. I have a degree in K-12 Visual Arts Education, and I am a licensed educator in the state of Illinois. Since 2020 I have been teaching Visual Arts at Intrinsic High School's Downtown Campus. I am currently pursuing my MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I expect to graduate in July 2027.
-----
Besides working as an artist and educator, I am also an architectural docent for Wendella Sightseeing. Since 2017 I have narrated tours from the Chicago River as well as along the lakefront.
-----
Above all else, I love to create. I'd love to get to know you! Feel free to browse my work or connect with me through social media.
